Fashion Shows in Paris

Taking my granddaughter (17 years old) to Paris in late March. How can I arrange for her to attend a fashion show while there? It would be the thrill of a lifetime for her.

Two of the large dept. stores have fashion shows for the public once or twice a week-- Printemps and Galeries Lafayette. You can find info on the latter on their web site www.galeries-lafayette.com/inter/index.html <BR>I think you can even reserve on there. I think you may not need to reserve for Printemps, but I'm not sure on that, so it wouldn't hurt to check, go to their welcome desk for visitors. You could do the same for Galeries Lafayette, also, if you don't reserve online.

We took our daughter to the Fashion Show at Galleries Lafayette. It was held in a simple auditorium and a very fast moving show with absolutely gorgeous models. The clothes they modeled were beautiful and not the crazy stuff you see at the famous designer fashion shows. Am sure you and your daughter will enjoy it and then enjoy shopping in this beautiful department store. Don't forget to "Look Up" at the beautiful ceiling!

I would recommend you arrive a little early to get to the show and get a good seat. When I went to the fashion show at Galeries Lafayette, I got a little lost and therefore a little late. My seats were OK but not great.

Galeries Lafayette has a wonderful fashion show - Tuesday at 11:00 AM all year and Friday at 2:30 April through October (not the daily shows). You must make reservations - it is limited seating. You sit at tables with a long runway down the middle - lots of fun, long legs, and high cheekbones. Lasts about 45 minutes. Refreshments are served. As soon as possible, stop by the store and make your reservations. You make them at the Welcome Desk It's on the ground floor (in France that's called the "Rez-de-Chausee" (ray duh show-say) or RC., in the southwest corner of the main store. Their 1st floor is one flight up, our 2nd floor. You can also make them on the internet by going to: http://www.galerieslafayette.com/fashionshow/index.html For more Paris information e-mail me – [email protected]
