Farm Stay in Portugal or Spain

Hi Team,

I am planning ahead for next summer (early July) and our family of four (children aged 12 and 10) would like to stay at a farm stay / agriturismo in either (or both) Portugal / Spain. We have previously stayed in a couple of argiturismos in Tuscany and they were both fantastic weeks. However, it seemed a lot easier to research stay options in Italy, the concept seemed a lot more competitive and mature whereas I'm not having quite as much success with Portugal / Spain.

So can anyone suggest good resources for similar options in Portugal/Spain. Additionally, if anyone has any specific recommendations to stay that would also be appreciated.

We love good food and wine, the outdoors and would love it if it was actually a working farm with animals/produce. If it was close (by car) to a beaches that would also be a benefit but not a requirement as we can add on a beach visit into another part of the trip. I don't mind spending decent money if the farm stay is memorable and unique.

Thanks in advance

So far, this is the only decent website I've found the also seems reasonably easy to navigate.

If by chance you´d choose to stay in the Basque Country, the official web page for "agroturismos" (Spanish) or nekazalturismoak (Basque) is www.nekatur.net. Some of them are centuries old.

My thought was the same at Mikelg's, sounds like something perfect for Basque country! The country houses are quite charming, and there are some stunning beaches nearby as well. We did not stay on a farm, but we did a hike along the coastal camino and saw geological formations and some impressive surfing.
