book as early as possible as lower fares are perhaps sold in strict allotments in each category - just show up and pay maybe tons more - but cheaper advance online tickets may be train-specific and unchangeable - also check conditions of use.
buses can be lots cheaper than trains but can take longer and IME are not as comfy.

www.nationalexpress.com might be helpful if you want to take a bus.
