This isn't really European, but one of my fantasies is to travel through the desert with a camel caravan, sleeping in tents with rug piled floors, sitting around the campfire, staring up into the desert sky. I'd like to see the ancient city of Petra, the "lost" cities of Saudi Arabia, make an exotic journey. I'd also like to travel by horse-drawn caravan like the gypsies. I think you can rent them in Ireland in Cork or Kerry. I guess I have a thing for campfires under the stars, and old-fashioned means of transportation. And ruins of lost civilizations.

Wanted to see Cairo & take a cruise down the Nile. Got a wild fantasy ala Cleopatra movie with Liz Taylor that I'm standing on a boat floating past the pyramids, making a spectacular entrance. I know-I know. Not based on reality ..... back to land of denial.
