Family stay in Oia, Santorini
My husband and I are trying to plan a family reunion in Greece, and we are having a little bit of trouble staying on a budget. We will be in Santorini April 24th-29th. There are 5 of us, my husband and I, my mother and father, and my sister. My 1 year old brother will be there as well, but he doesn't count.
We haven't seen each other in a long time, and we would all like to stay in the same apartment in Oia. The ideal situation would be one apartment with at least one separate bedroom for my parents. We just need three beds, or two beds and a couch. We are also hoping for a nice view.
I have been doing a lot of research and have contacted the Lauda Hotel, the Delfini Villas and the Strogili Houses. (Other hotels I've looked into have been much more expensive, so I didn't contact them.) So I'm writing to see if anyone has any suggestions for us. I am hoping to stay around or under a budget of 600 euro for the 4 nights in Oia. Does anyone think this is possible? I am hoping since it is the low season it might work, but I don't know where else to look. Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I think an equally important concern is whether or not those hotels you find that DO meet your needs will be open then and, more importantly, if they have room for you since that's Easter weekend and it might be difficult to get bookings for them at this late date. What bookings are left today may not be there tomorrow.
Check Lucky Homes, Fotinos Houses, Oia Waves, Olympic Villas, Rimida Villas and Anemomilos Hotel.

Let me change my previously stated budget. At or (preferably) under 600 euro. If we can't afford to stay in Oia does anyone have a suggestion for the next best place to stay in Santorini where there is a nice view?

You are saying, in effect, you want an accommodation -- with a view -- with a minimum of 2 rooms for €150 per night, that is to say, a caldera view double room for €75 per night. And you want it the week after Easter, the most in-demand week of the Spring. Good luck with that! I think you need to look outside Oia, for sure.
Have you considered Firostephani??? You can take the BUS to Oia, and stay somewhere more affordable. Hotels in Firostephani have lovely caldera views at half to 2/3 the cost... I was in 2 of them last May and watched the sunsets from a lovely balcony and a gorgeous terrace with loveseats. I have not been able to distinguish between Oia sunsets and Sunsets elsewhere on the island. They are both red.
In Firostephani, check into: Blue Dolphin Apartments, Vallas Apartments, Kafieris Apartments, Sunset Hotel, Agnadema Apartments ... NOTE: Booking.com gives rates for many of these. HOtel MYLOS is your absolute Best Buy in Firostephani -- you have to e-mail them, not available thru Booking.com.
NOTE: all hotels may charge a higher rate than the "low season" rate listed because you are asking for Easter Week. Also, for any hotel that interests you, it is wise to google "Hotel XXX TA reviews" to see what guests have said.
NOTE #2 -- do NOT delay. This is a week that Greeks book ahead.

Fredah, do you mean rooms for 3? For Mylos I believe that is the case (incidentally, even tho YOU "don't count" a small child, hotels often do). If you look at this website which gives rates-- http://www.greekhotel.com/cyclades/s...mylos/home.htm -- you will see that they have 2 such rooms, at 101 and 112€ for your dates, per night. Perhaps since you are staying more than 3 days, they may come down a few Euros... but I don't think they'll come down to 75€ per room. So VRBO may have something closer to your limit... tho perhaps not with caldera view.
