We organising a family reunion, 10 adults 3 kids ( 7-10 days) and chosen Greece as our destination. We would like to rent a villa as near as possible to the beach. As none of us has been to Greece I would love suggestions for towns not to far from Athens, as we would like to do some sight seeing as well.

Could you please clarify what you mean "not so far from Athens" ? Are you planning to be based on villa and connect some days on Athens for sightseen, or what?

Everything is a matter of budget, renting a villa, as per OP's post might be extremely expensive, especially close to Athens.

Can you give us a budget please? Also how far outside of Athens are you willing to go?
