Thanks everyone and thanks to Fodors again for all the help I received in planning this one. Hubby and I usually go it alone so travelling with others, even though family and close friends was different for us. But everyone was so agreeable and had faith in my choices...but I did feel some pressure in hoping they all had a good time. I needn't have worried. What a great group.

After the wedding some of us headed up to Normandy for a couple of days before we flew back to Canada. I just want to give a shout out to Normandy Beach Bed & Breakfast, our accommodation in Arromanches, where we based ourselves for that part of the trip. The owners, Adrian and Karen are just hospitality defined. The rooms are clean and comfortable, super price and fabulous full breakfast in the morning in their huge breakfast room. Free beer on arrival...yes, free. We used all five of their rooms and everyone of them was perfect. It's well positioned for D-Day sites. I read the great reviews on this place on Tripadvisor and it didn't disappoint.

How did I miss this the first time around? I'm so glad it popped up again. What a time you all had, and what a great start for your daughter and SIL. I wish them lifelong happiness.
