Experiencing autumn in Western Europe during early Nov

Hi everyone,

my sis and I are planning a trip to Western Europe during early Nov. I believed it should be late autumn by then. I planned to go places which are more southern with good natural sceneries, such as Italy or Spain. Is that a good choice? Or is there not much difference?

We're still open to suggestions. Moreover, when in Europe can I see the red/yellow/green maple leaves during early Nov? Lastly, how is venice like during that time? I've been there once during summer and it's a great place. I'm wondering if it'll be much different during early Nov.

Thanks alot
