Exchance of US dollar to Lira

We are going to Venice on Tuesday, March 14th, is the exchange rate better in US to exchange the money for Italian Lira or should we just get some for the transportation and the rest exchange Italy?

It is always better to exchange dollars to lire in Italy. Bring enough lire to pay for the transportation and a snack when you get there. For a couple I would exchange $100 before arriving. By the way, ATMs are plentiful in Venice and you will get a better exchange rate by just withdrawing lire from an ATM (there is an option for English).
