Eurotar Italia Problem
Help. I keep trying to book my train on www.fs-on-line.com but it keeps kicking me off and saying "Service is Suspended." I bought tickets last year online and picked them up using a code at the train station. I have e-mailed the train company 3 times with no response. It is getting close to my travel date and last time a went the ES was sold out for the entire day that I wanted to travel.

Hi Bill! When you traveled before was it in high season? When we visited Italy in March the trains were uncrowded & we never had advance reservations. The second trip in May was busier and the train from Milano Centrale to Venice was jammed, but still got a seat without reservation. Good luck!

I was there in April during Easter weekend. One of the best things with planning for Europe had been being able to purchase these tickets in advance at the lowest possible cost. I suppose those RailEurope thugs "got to" the Itailian train service. I just love paying $50 for 1st Class through RailEurope (vs. $37.50 in Italy) along with a $16 reservation fee (which is included in Italy), $15 handeling fee, and $7 high speed train ticket fee and none of these are charged in Itlay. Hmmmm $75 vs. $37.50.<BR>RailEurope has gotten to Rick Steves as well as his staff continues to sing the praises of how good it is to use Rail Europe (can you say payola). I suppose my days are numbered since RailEurope is probably going after Fodors as well and soon they will find mmuuff . ..
