Eurostar Italia Train Q?

Can someone give me an update on Eurostar trains in Italy - in 1st class they used to give a pastry and a cup of espresso cafe and an Italian newspaper in this class but not in 2nd.
Do they still give anything to 1st class ticket holders or not. A few back i got the world's tiniest cup of coffee and a plasticized pastry - anything now?

PalQ - Here's the URL for a page on the Trenitalia site that answers your question: http://tinyurl.com/jxddq.

Thanks Tim: guess it's only the coffee and a newspaper and only on morning trains - not a reason to go first class i guess.

We travelled Rome to Milan this summer in 1st class and did get some sort of plastic wrapped pastry. Not very good as I recall.

igg: that's my remembrance of the pastry - like something that had been lying around a 7-11 for months - the Trenitalia site TimS kindly linked me to says nothing about a pastry, just a welcome drink - they may be better not giving out those kind of institutional type pastries!

Hi PalQ: I just took the an ES train from Napoli down to Siracusa first class last week and did not receive any food (pastry or coffee). Only an Italian newspaper! I think it's been cut out, or maybe only offered on certain train segments throughout Italy? Of course, the snack cart came through but chips and soda were not appealing.....
