Euros from ATMs?
Going to Croatia in late September/early October. Question: Do the ATMs in Croatia spit out Kuna or Euros?
I have a feeling that I'll need a lot more Euros in Croatia than Kuna, and that Dollars are not the currency of choice anymore.
The consensus of this thread seems to be that Hoteliers prefer Euros because of their strength. If that is the case I'll leave my Dollars at home and load up on Euros out of a machine in Amsterdam during our flight layover there.
Please advise.

ATMs spit Kunas. Euros are preffered by some private accommodation owners. Don't know about hotels, probably some of them accept Euros.
Kuna is tied to the Euro (1 Euro = approx. 7.4 Kuna) and exchange rate is stabile during all years since the Euro introduction. So it really doesn't matter if you pay in Euro or Kuna.
The most of accommodation owners quote their prices in Euros and Kunas so you can choose.
Most restaurants and hotels and some shops will take credit cards.
I do not advise to pay with Euros in shops or restaurants because you will get bad exchange rate.
Official exchange rate can be found here:
