Palenq, thanks for the links. We're weighing the cost between passes and point-to-point.

travel2live2, I'll look into the agriturismos. Any idea how far in advance I'd need to book and if it's cancellable in case a timeshare comes through? We actually got a timeshare in Venice last year about two months out, but we had to cancel because the airfares had gone way up. We went to canada instead.

ParisAm, thanks for the Youtube link. Even though we've decided against going to Spain this time around, I'm sure my son will enjoy it.

I guess I'll keep praying a timeshare comes through!
