Europe Vacations

Has anybody ever booked a vacation in Europe through europevacations.com. If so I would be very interested in hearing about your experience particularly whether if there were any problems. Thank you.

We have just returned from a trip to London booked through them. We booked our flights, transfers, and hotel through a package they offered. It was easy and cost efficient. Everything went smoothly. We upgraded from the basic hotel offered to a superior hotel they listed. It was in a great location, had an excellent breakfast, but the room could have been cleaner. For the extra dollars, we wished we had chosen the hotel that was the most expensive. We have read many excellent comments on that hotel, but we had already booked the other place. The shuttle service from the airport to the hotel was fine, but it probably would have been faster to take the train. Overall, we were very pleased with the company and the price.

Marsha, what hotel did you stay in London? I am also using europevacations.com for a trip to London & Paris later this month and we are staying at Royal Sussex hotel. I liked that I received my tickets on 2/26 for a trip departing 3/24. It gave me a chance to review them thoroughly so there will be no surprises. Also, the reservations are made via Europe Express, which is their parent company. I know this company because it's the same one my travel agent used for my first trip to London. One thing, for the London & Paris trip, they do not provide transportation to and from the Eurostar. We have to take the tube to Waterloo and take the Metro from Gare du Nord to our hotel. Other than that, you just can't beat their prices.

The hotels they are offerring to us are the Montcalm in London for 3 nights and the Lotti in Paris for two. Any information on these two hotels? They are also offering Eurostar and transfers between airports. We are using frequent flyer tickets to London and from Paris so we are not booking air through them. What method were the transfers? Did you fly in Gatwick or Heathrow? How did you get confirmation of hotels and transfers? I would appreciate any information since as you say you can't beat their prices but I would hate to be stranded/

We stayed at the Clifton Ford Hotel in London. It was not far from the Bond St tube stop. I don't know about the Royal Sussex Hotel. We did see the Montcalm, however, and that is the place we wished we had stayed. It looks lovely and also has a great restaurant, The Crescent, that we tried to get into for dinner but it was completely booked.

Mary, I tried to respond last week, but was having difficulty posting to Fodors. I haven't taken my trip yet, so my responses will be based on my tickets and itinerary. With the exception of the plane and Eurostar tickets, everything else is a voucher. They do provide the dates, confirmation #, name, address and phone number for each hotel and shuttle on the vouchers. So you can call to confirm your reservations. The transportation between the hotel and airport is some type of shuttle bus. I would have preferred to take a train, but at least the shuttle bus will be door-to-door service. I am flying into Gatwick. In my opinion, Heathrow and Gatwick are about the same Make sure you confirm that they are providing transportation between your hotel and the Eurostar. I looked through all of my information and could not find vouchers for this. I've never stayed at either of your hotels, although I have heard that The Lotti is very nice. A lot of travel agents and tour companies book through The Lotti. Based on my past experience with Europe Express, I don't think you will be stranded. Good Luck!
