Europe Trip Report

Hey everyone sorry for the delay. They closed the other forum, and it was my fault for being off topic. Great news though, I bought my tickets (LAX-CDG MUC-LAX). I emailed the hotels also, the Ibis one is available but the CVJM in Munich isn’t which is kind of a bummer because it was so cheap, had an amazing breakfast buffet, and was .4 miles from Marienplatz. It’s alright I will just find a similar hotel. And we will be going somewhere in between Paris-Munich for our third place (most likely Amsterdam or somewhere in Swiss or Italy we will decide there). Thanks so much to everyone for the help!

You could go to Strasbourg as a third place. Culturally half way between Germany and france.

Yes there are some but almost all the international Norwegian planes are 787-9 Dreamliners. Even if there are some 737-max, they would be shut down by now.

I was thinking about that, but we want to go somewhere different from the other 2. Like Amsterdam for example is different from the other 2 places in terms of sights and food and culture. I mean its not like we are staying at the third place for long where it has to be completely different. I just mean somewhere that we can have a new experience. Like Swiss is nature-oriented, Italy is diff for obvious reasons, and in Amsterdam theres things there that there arent in the other two and theres different foods.

Beware any posts that begin with "you do know...".

Norwegian has a relatively small number of 737 MAX planes and I believe they have been grounded but anyone concerned could check for themselves for the latest status. Many of the world's largest airlines have this plane in their fleets so you could stick your finger up and say "OMG, you do know that..." when anyone mentions flying United, American, Air Canada, and many other large airlines all over the world. At least 6 of the top 10 global airlines have the plane.

In the other topic, I had mentioned Basel (Switzerland) as .a possibile place to stay. Strasbourg is also a good choice, nothing like Paris, and right on your route.

Amsterdam is well out of your way.

You do realize Amsterdam is nowhere "in between" Paris and Munich geographically right?

Yes I worded my sentence wrong. What I meant to say was along the way from paris we will stop somewhere, and head to munich from there. I don’t mean for it to be exactly in the middle, on the dot, in the center. No. In between would be a better word. All the countries in between like Belgium, The Netherlands, Swiss.

Happy to hear you've booked your trip.

I don' have any 1st hand experience with Paris to offer, but hoping you have a great trip.

Thank you I’m hoping on going to some districts that I didn’t see last time like the Montmarte area.

It is so tragic what happened to Notre-Dame. Although, Macron said it will be restored within 5 years. I’m glad to see all the support and donations pouring in; that was a pleasant surprise.

Well if you're flying doesn't really matter but Amsterdam is nowhere anywhere "between" or in the "center" from the other two cities. It's way north of both of them.

Do you have a link to a legit donations page for the Notre Dame Cathedral?

Amsterdam is indeed different. And easily accessed by train - Thalys. Or stop in Brussels. From there you can also daytrip to Bruges.
