My wife, my teen(15yrs) and myself are planning a trip to Europe around 20th April 2006. Our plan is to arrive at London travel to Paris then to Interlaken and Lucerne then on to Innsbruck and thru the Black Forest to Rust and finally on to Amsterdam and back to London. We would like to plan the most economical route. Know which hotels are central and how we can best travel to this points which mode of transport etc... Basically this is our first trip and we have chosen these places for their special tourist attractions. We would like the trip to be fun but inexpensive. Please help. Thanks.

How many weeks do you have to make this trip?
Most economical might be the train.
Get some guide-books (Library?)to be more prepared what to see and do...

Before anyone can give you useful advice/recommendations we do need to know how long your trip will be.

That is a massive area so 25-30 days will doable but rushed. Two weeks - not.

Have you bought your airline tickets yet?

Have you considered into London and out of Amsterdam? Prices won't be very different from a London RT.

p.s. Please re-post this question with mesasge header that indicates your destinations, and the nature of the information you are actually seeking. Every single question on this forum is about a "Europe trip". Imagine that you went to the library, and every volume, on every shelf... had printed on its spine... "Book".

Rust:
1- as rex just explained or
2- Europa-Park and Resort. Amusement park close to the French border or
3- Small Austrian town, famous for it's wine (Lake Neusiedl).

Europa Park! A wonderful amusement park. Each section is dedicated to a different European country. Switzerland is a beautiful Wallis village. Greece has a nice restaurant and some really cool rides. France has dining atmosphere as you walk down the Rue. Norway has a great fjord water rafting ride. And Italy even offers a coliseum with a very good gladiator show. What more could a (big) kid want?

Oh yes, the best is the new Italian hotel on the premises. It makes you feel like you are in downtown Rome. The food is supposed to be very good too.

All that in Rust.

My kids loved Europa Park- a highlight of their 1st trip to Europe. Not much else in the area but it's a great theme park. We enjoyed a day there.
