Hi All,
Attempting to pull together a tour including two weeks in the Stockholm Archipelago, visiting a few islands, renting cottage/homes for a few days. (Hoping to avoid air b&b).
Welcome all advice and guidance about:

• Two or three islands that are not tourist 'hotspots' but still offer recreational opportunities (beaching, hiking, private boating) plus local restaurants & culture
• Best time of year: I assume July or August
• Any suggestions on how to find a local travel agent focused on the islands as well as a companion itinerary

We have traveled extensively in Norway & Denmark-but wanted to return to visit the archipelago islands for a relaxing and immersive experience w/locals. Wish to spend about 2-3 weeks in the archipelago, seeking other places to visit in Sweden or within reach of Europe.

Furthermore, Stockholm has had a heightened security environment since last year. Has anyone visited Stockholm &/or Sweden recently willing to share their impressions on safety concerns in Sweden?
