To me the top of the stupid things to do is that Madam T.'s wax museum. Why would people waste time and money to see a wax imitation? It blows my mind.

The second stupid thing in London is the tour of WhiteChapel where the murders happened years ago. So what? Do you visit murder scenes in your own home town? Macabe.

These are the only two I can think of right now.

It occurs to me that we're talking about top tourist sights, not tourist traps--those are the places that prey on tourists and take their money by overcharging for goods or meals.

If you feel "overwhelmed" wherever you visit it is obviously a "personal problem" that you either need to address or learn to live with. Blaming everone ELSE for those feelings is hardly therapeutic and, if anything, indicates a real lack of responsibility.

If the presence of large numbers of others, be they tourists or not, "bothers" you then stay away and please whine about it somewhere else.
