@palenQ thanks...is it possible to do day trips to Grindelwald or some other mountain village from Interlaken?

Well yes - Interlaken is a nice town -one of my favorites and has easy access to mountain villages - Grindelwald is about 25 minutes on a train. And once there you can say take a cable car to The Mannlichen- much higher and rave viewpoint.

Or from Interlaken take the Jungfraujoch train to Europe's highest train station and a Top of the World look and feeling:

But that train is also one of the most expensive if not the most in the world but on the trip of a lifetime...no need to pre-book so can decide once in Interlaken.
