I have done only one tour. I did it for the same reason you are doing it. I was travelling with my mother in Turkey and I did not want the responsibility of being the tour guide for the trip..and taking the blame if things didn't go well. It was an unqualified success. I actually used Insight but I had brochures from about 6 different travel companies..plus a magnifying glass! I had to read all the small print to see what was really included. I then checked all the hotels on each of the tours as well as their location. I checked meals. I had to figure out whether we would be purchasing add ons. After that was done (and it took me 2 weeks), I then chose Insight though I am NOT suggesting this is a "best" company. I am suggesting that you must do your homework. I did find that a tour really helped in this situation- an uptight Mom who is Hilton (at a minimum) and a laid back daughter who has been known to sleep in a railway station and consider it an adventure.
