The name of the restaurant in the Borghese Gardens is CAFFE DELLE ARTE, Via A. Gramsci, 73. You can have lunch outside on a beautiful terrace. Credit cards are accepted.

kane: that website appears to be for a place of the same name in Torino, and the street address you have for Rome isn't in the location I was thinking of. The place I remember is inside the gardens, not far from the top of Via Veneto at Porta Pinciana. Anyway, you will find someplace suitable and won't go hungry around Borghese. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful day.

kayd,

I apologize for the incorrect web site...I wonder where I got that from.

Does anyone know if the surreys are operated like a bicycle with pedals? If they are, does the primary operator control the speed for the rest of the passengers? For instance, if the primary operator is a male who is strong and pedals fast, will the children be able to keep their feet on the fast-moving pedals?

Well, no balloon ride for our family (we'll be in Rome May 28-June 30.) I emailed the balloon folks for some info and here is the reply I received: "At moment we are closed in Rome and we should re-open
probably at the end of June 2006 but it's not sure yet."
