The problem w/ picnic hampers and table mats are the shipping costs. A set of dinner sized table mats would cost a fortune and a nice hamper even more.

Unless you want them to send you ££££ cash for a future trip to visit them -- the tea towels idea is brilliant. Almost limitless options for designs/themes. They could be creative and send a collection of silly and pretty ones.

OK, Fodorites, after printing this out and giving it to my fiance to look at, the winner is .... Tea Towels! We also thought it was a brilliant idea. And I looked at the NTrust website and loved them. (Have to say, I also loved the black cab and double-decker bus ones at Harrods, I bet those 2 could be a fantastic pillow sewn together ...) I loved the idea of framing them too. I told my friends we don't want ones with the typical Big Ben/Tower of London but something a bit more creative, so I'll be eager to see what they send.

I absolutely loved/adored/covet everything on the Isle of Wight glassworks web site. My fiance though was not so thrilled with having "stuff" so I've decided that when we finally do go to England we will have to stop there and I can buy something myself. Some of it was just breathtaking.

I'm saving this printed-out thread for my England files. England is definitely on our short list for the next five years and I'm grateful to all of you.

Glad you are going for the tea towels--I do love all of mine, particularly a sort of modern design with, of course, sheep!

Isle of Wight glass is at many of the major stores in London although a trip there might be fun. In all my years living in the UK and on many trips, I've never been over to the Isle of Wight.

Happy wedding.
