Embarrassing attributes of travel

What are some of the very common, but not "discussed" in polite company of lengthy travel? After taking a poll of many friends, I have discovered that constipation is one of them...long sits, strange food. not much exercise, etc. That coupled with sleeplessness seemed to be tops. Therefore, one should take all the medicinal 'stuff' that one needs for these symptoms. In my case, the most embarrassing thing is the 'hallucinations" that I keep having; I keep envisioning that I am in a time warp, and that I am someone else, other than me. Now all you anti trollites, don't jump on me...this is just an observation.

You are not hallucinating, you are someone else.

Being near retirement age and still having to figure out how to flush the darn thing once I have used it! Once the Euro is in place, could we move to this more troublesome problem....the heck with economics. BTW, a friend travels with licorice candy-says it always cures her constipation.

Couldn't you have picked someone else better to be?

The licorice really does work but only black licorice. I'm not sure why.

One of the things I hate about being in close quarters is people who pass gas. And all you stinkers know who you are. They think that since the bus (auditorium, train, tram, elevator, etc.) is crowded, no one will know who lit the bomb!!! I think that is the rudest thing in the world. Next to this, people who chew gum with mouth open, who drool, pick their nose, and talk too loud. Boors are not peculiar to Europe, however, and can be found in any crowded place.

Drink lots of water, try to eat regular meals including salad and those problems will vanish!

The most annoying thing about traveling in groups is the odd person who refuses to fit in! I am always embarrassed when one in our group pushes to the front of the bus, hogs all the attention of the director, complains loudly about the food, bed, you name it, hogs all the food at family style dinners (in China, especiallY), has allergies, complaints, comments ad nauseum, and then tells you what a good time he/she had!!

JJJ is right! Eating to live and not living to eat.
