Eiffel Tower tickets
I was trying to book tickets for July 2 , sunset but tickets are not available as stated in their website. And I checked the dates for 1 week we're in Paris and it's not available. So freaking disappointing! So does that mean that nobody can enter anymore bec. tickets are sold out? Is there any other website to buy tickets? I thought we're early to book tickets but apparently not!
Skip the line tour is very expensive! One adult ticket cost is good for 4 tickets on the Eiffel towers website.

You do not need reserved tickets to visit the Eiffel Tower. It´s advantageous but not mandatory. Besides how do you know in advance that it will not be raining with low ceilings at the time and date of your reservation?
I would go in the morning and line up well before the official 09h00 opening. Go to the east leg (pier est) where lines tend to be shorter.
You could also make reservations for lunch or dinner at 58 Tour Eiffel which allows access to the 1st floor:

I just returned from Paris.
We expected huge lines at Eiffel, but were surprised that line was not too bad. We were at the line around 8:45 a.m. and thus no real crowd.
We had a great time inside also as there were not too many people and the weather was just perfect.
So dont stress, plan to go early and be in line for 5-10 min.
Enjoy, it is beautiful all around Paris.

The lines in May are essential non existent in reference to the lines there will be in July. Lining up 5 minutes early in the busy summer months offers little to more likely no advantage at all in securing a good position.
For July, I might suggest you arrive 08h00 to 08h15 for a 09h00 opening.

Thank you all for the replies. I was getting a little disappointed when I saw that the next available ticket is on August 15 when we're already back home. And then I checked skip the line tour in Paris and it costs €40-55 per person! So expensive! That would have been the cost of 4 tickets on the Eiffel Tower website.
So we'll follow Sarastros' advice and line up early. Hopefully we don't have to queue for hours to get a ticket .
