I've never had any problems with Senegalese vendors. They approach, but if there's nothing that I want to buy, then they leave. I have never experienced them being pushy. It's the same here in L.A. with all the folks selling things on the street. They are just trying to make a living and have to hustle and work really long hours to do so. Happy Travels!

I don't mind the Senegalese vendors - if you say 'no' firmly, they back off.

Those pests certainly ARE not just stealing but ROBBING tourists of precious time and tranquility. Totally ruined Trocadero for me-- I won't go up there again, and I wish I had a fly swatter with me then.
