Edinburgh restaurant recommendations.
Could some helpful forumers please recommend a few good restaurants in Edinburgh, based on recent personal experience if possible

Martin's , MArtin's and Martin's, we both love martin's and Martin. Hard to find, excellent food, super wine list, and charming host and hostess.
withcery is not bad either!
Bon Appetit has a good article on restaurants and also the festival in this month's issue.

Martin's and the Witchery are both wonderful. But a warning - if you are going to be there during festival/Tattoo time you will probably need to book both of those and other good places before you leave home. Unless you have been to the Festival before you can't imagine how crowded everything is. It is a GREAT time but there are tens of THOUSANDS of people competing for places.

My comments about the Witchery are elsewhere. The Marque in Causewayside and the Marque Central in Grindlay Street are very god. So is the Siam Erewan, if you like Thai food, the Kapla for Indian, and Viva Mexico for Mexican.

Lots of options. From reading the reviews the best range together are all down in Leith
