Edinburgh Airport Transfers

Hello! I am planning a trip to Scotland for three of us (Dear Dad, Dear Brother and me), ending in Edinburgh in September and I am looking for recommendations on hiring a private taxi from our guest house to Edinburgh Airport. The private transfer companies I've been able to find are: Click Airport Transfers, Onward Travel Solutions, Sun Transfers, Rideways, Zip Transfers, and Airport Taxi Edinburgh. I would appreciate it if anyone has any recommendations for one-way private transfer to the airport, either for any of the companies I've listed or another that you may have used in the past. Thank you and I appreciate your input.

P.S. I know about the tram and bus service to the airport and have decided that is not what we want at 5:00am with my elderly father.

Thanks again!

Most of them are agencies and don't run their own taxis.

I would use City Cabs or Central Taxis

I agree with the above suggestion,or just go to the taxi rank, there is a taxi marshall that will get you to the right place and right size of cab for your needs

Just call a taxi- could not be easier. The landlady/landlord can call for you if you want.

It's only about 8 miles to the airport from the centre of Edinburgh and at that time of the morning will only take a short time. An Edinburgh taxi is the way to go. Book it the day before you travel.

Paid 20 pounds from Waldorf to airport about 3 weeks ago in a City Cab. Took about 20 minutes or so. Very easy.

We used City Cab last May on the recommendation of our apartment owner. He called them for us. Easy peasy.

Sorry to take so long to get back and thank you all for the suggestion regarding City Cabs. I've looked up their phone number and will call them to arrange a cab when we arrive in country. Thanks again!!
