I have ? about Easyjet. Went on their www. to ck out prices for Glasgow-Belfast & Dublin-London & the prices are quoted as follows:
1.49 GBP. I have never noticed prices quoted as such before. Does that mean 149 british pounds? Pls be kind, I am really trying to understand.

It means one pound and forty-nine pence, i.e. not much more than US$2!

The no-frills airlines often have prices like this showing up (excluding taxes) (especially for off-peak travel). However...

...if you proceed to the next screen you will see that they add taxes onto this so to see the full price you will actually pay, choose your flights and get the full price.

You may still be amazed at some of the cheap prices that you can get.

There are usually only a few of these very low price tickets available, especially for those who book early. Easyjet is a real non-frills airline, which also means that you will not get any help if flights are delayed or cancelled. But at that price, who cares?

In the 30 mins between your asking the question and a reply coming up, the 1.49 prices probably disappeared - or at least became unavailable.

But depending on lots of things, you've still a chance of getting exceptionally good value - though even in the time you're taking to read this, you're losing the chance to grab plain silly prices.

Just make sure you understand all the rules in the small print, and arrive not a second after check in closes or with an ounce of baggage over your limit.

I thought that was what the price was but couldn't believe it! I am looking at May. How far out do they let you book-looks like now it is thru March. So if a flight is cancelled, do they just put you on a different flight? thx again!

Easyjet put out their schedules twice a year - once in July (covering the following October through to March) and then in late December (covering April through to September).

Therefore for Easyjet travel next May you will have to wait until the end of the year before the schedules you need will be out.

There is a sort of "fly on the wall" documentary about Easyjet on tv here at the moment (Belgium) and it's quite interesting viewing. Don't know why they let in the cameras. There where people bumped off a flight because the plane was too heavy, and they had to wait 12 hours for the next available flight. This was a family with children.
