Ease of getting taxi in Rome on Xmas day?
Hi travelers, I will be in Rome on Xmas and hoping to see a gospel show at a venue about 30 mins. from my hotel. Anyone know how easy it is to call or hail a taxi on this holiday?

Just ask the front desk to call for you.
OTOH if there is a taxi stand near your hotel just walk over. You'd save a bit doing this.
No worries getting a cab. There are service minimums they have to keep even on holiday days.

There is also an app you can use to summon a taxi - itTaxi. It was introduced by local taxi drivers to compete with ride sharing companies
Works much like uber. (btw, uber is horrible in Rome. They could not keep uber completely out of town, so they imposed burdensome regulations that make uber noncompetitive)
