Driving thru Austria in March?

We will be in Austria - Innsbruck, Salzburg, Castle Area in March. We will be driving a mini-van. Does anyone know what the roads will be like or have any suggestions?

Jane, my husband and I took a car from Munich to Salzburg to Vienna, back to Salzburg and dropped it off back in Munich. I think you will find roads in Germany and Austria to be of very high quality (the March we were there 1999, they just happened to be having sort of a freak heatwave) one thing you must watch out for though is the speed at which people travel on the Autobahn, which is legendary and so we were prepared for it. We would tootle along at 75 MPI and BMW would wiz by us goint 120 and being driven by little elderly women. Unless the driver has a little Mario Andretti in their veins, be sure and stay in the slow lane.
