Hate to see you guys being nasty to each other. If you read my secon post (4th message above) I explained that in 2003 we drove across Italy. I guess I did not provide a specific list of the sites visited,I wrote this post to get my research started..... I guess that was not a great idea. I can see that providing more information is needed. My apologies!!!!!

BTTW, Orvieto has the major advantage of being about 2 hours away from Rome on the main train line, AND having a wonderful cathedral; the carvings on the front were one of the most amazing things I think I've ever seen.
