Driving from Palamos, Spain to Avignon, France: where to stop

Hello, We will be driving after 7 days in Palamos to spend 4 nights in Provence on a weekday in late August. Where should we stop along the way to break up trip/eat?

I hope this isn't a rental car, or you're going to pay a king's ransom to pick it up in Spain and drop it off in France. Unless you're going back to Spain.

You have a map, I presume? It should show you where you might stop along the way, depending on when you arrive where.

If looking for a historic city on that route check out Aigues-Mortes!

Load down a guidebook and you will see that there are dozens of nice/interesting places between Marseille and Figueres. All depends on your interests.

hi, yes we are doing a roundtrup : France to spain.. is stopping along the coastal villages/towns an option or too much off the highway? We are not looking to get to destination the fastest but instead relax and see areas new to us.
