Driving from Athens to Olympia

My husband and I will be driving from Athens to Olympia in late November of this year. We were wondering if there were any notable stops along the way or a specific route that is preferable. Additionally, a time estimate would be helpful. Any advice would be appreciated!!

This is an easy drive, calculate approximately 5 hours for the whole trip.
You will follow the highway from Athens to Corinth.
A few kilometers before Corinth you can take the detour to the bridge of the Corinth Canal.

Ancient Corinth is also a very interesting archaeological site, on your way.

From Corinth i would personally continue on the old coastal road to Patra, instead of the so called "new national road", which is under construction. You will pass through some nice old villages in an area full of orange and lemon orchards.
