Most of the things you could see in a day are within a few hundred yards of The Royal Mile & are easily walkable. The only thing you may need a driver for is to get from ship to The Royal Mile.

Leith is in Edinburgh, take the 35 Lothian bus service from Ocean Terminal to Holyrood Palace and walk up from there - it's £1.30 per adult each way or £3.20 for a day ticket. If you go down onto Princes Street the 22 bus is extremely frequent back to Ocean Terminal
