Dress Code at J Sheekey , London

My husband and I will be having dinner at J Sheekey during our trip to London. Does anyone know if they require men to wear a jacket and tie? We need to know in order to make our packing list. Thanks!

Absolutely not.

It's absolutely no business of theirs what you wear.

You will see all sorts, from business men in suits to actors in jeans. wear what you want.

Imposing dresscodes has been rather passe in London for a long time

Does flanneruk actually eat at J Sheekey?

If not, he has absolutely no grounds on which to make his statement in favor of fashion revolt.

The dress is indeed smart casual, but the emphasis is on smart, in my experience, with more men in business suits at dinner than in jeans.

All that having been said, the food is absolutely wonderful!
