We will be staying at an apartment in Dorsoduro (closest Vaporetto stop Ca Rezzonico or S. Basillo. I've read many suggestions to ask your hotel how to get to Murano but since we are on our own I want have that option. Can anyone tell me how to get to Murano from Dorsoduro? Which Vaporetto?

There is no direct vaporetto line from where you are. Use the journey planner to find out which one to use, depending whether you start from Ca Rezzonico or San Basilio.
