I may be able to help here.
I work just round the courner from Dorset Square and have passed the hotel may times (there is only one in the square)and a collegue of mine stayed there for a night some weeks ago.
It is not large, but the service and furnishings are good. Part of a small group of hotels, and I would say nearer the upper end. The square is small, and suprisingly hush for London (it use to be the old cricket ground before Lords.
Well positioned for seeing the sights and a stones throw from the underground station.
I would be suprised if you are not pleased - sorry I can only speak from the outside ! but I am assured it is OK inside.
hope this helps

We stay in an apartment very close to Dorset Sq. and it's a nice neighborhood. Don't know about the hotel obviously, but it's very handy to Marylebone Station & tube stop. Marylebone Station has a couple of shops, places to buy food items, etc. It's also very close to Baker St. tube stop - and a zillion bus lines. You are not far from Regent's Park (couple of blocks). We like the area because you are close to things but in an area where people actually live and go about daily business too which is nice. Sorry I can't help about the hotel.

We stayed there three years ago and loved the hotel (the staff was wonderful). We had a luxury double room with the garden view. We noticed that the rooms were small and that concerned us at first but it was luxurious (fabulous linens and the bathrrom was terrific). We wanted tickets to a play and the staff located two (the best seats in the house, I feel) and put them in our box. The Baker Street tube is just a couple of blocks away and the bus service was great. I'd stay here again.
