Does Size Matter? (Rental Car Trunks)

I'm renting a car for a three week trip to Hungary this summer and ended up renting a Mitsubishi Carisma, AutoEurope's full-size. What is the trunk size like? Is it comparable to a 1998 Honda Accord or the like? The pictures show it to be similar. I'm concerned about leaving anything in open-sight in Hungary because of theft. Only two people are coming. Please let me know what I should expect. <BR> <BR>William

We have a 28in and 30in suitcase and would like to know if there is anyone that can tell me which car trunk these will fit into, I know they are to big but we are traveling with two children. They are: Mercedes C200, E200, or the Renault Safrane. Any help would be appreciated.....Thanks!

See: <BR> <BR>http://www.europebycar.com/cars4.html <BR> <BR>and <BR> <BR>http://www.europebycar.com/cars5.html <BR> <BR>The Safrane and C series Mercedes are listed as having 16 cubic feet of trunk space. The E series Mercedes is listed as having 18 cubic feet of trunk space. Can't vouch for the accuracy of these listings. The E series Mercedes will generally cost a lot more money than the other two.

Roddy: Lasat year my husband and I rented a full-size car through Hertz for a trip through Provence. When we picked up the car we were ecstatic that we had a mini-van(don't remember the make, but it was a real conversation piece when we stopped at lights or to park ). The problem was that we had been to burgundy and had cases of wine plus lots of baggage and no privacy screen. The resul was that we had to stay every night in a hotel that had a garage(especially in the cities.) This year we know better and would only take a sedan with a ,hopefully large trunk.
