Does Barcelona have a store similar to Monoprix or Target?

Does central Barcelona have a store or chain of stores similar to Monoprix or Target? I've realized that with as many trips as we've been making to western Europe, "us girls" might as well just buy ourselves a European blow dryer and hair straightener/flat iron. I'd like to find a suitable store fairly early in our trip, lest we scare folks with our poufy hair.

Thanks! Is that store a chain, or does it have a single location?

El Corte Inglés is a department store (chain). The main one in Barcelona is at the Plaça de Cataluyna, a big 8 - 9 floor building. You can't miss it.

El Corte Ingles are the biggest department stores in Spain, they have various locations in BCN but are not like the Monoprix, a lot more classy.

Is El Corte Ingles open on Sundays? I went on their web site, and it gave hours for "working days" and "holidays".

No, it's not usually open on Sundays. Only certain dates during the year, in December , for example. Almost any shop in Spain opens on Sunday

No Sunday hours, but every other day it is doing lots of business. The one for hair dryers is the one in Plaza Catalunya. Just ask and they will direct you.
