Do you know Elvira?

So now it is years later, and Francoise, aka elvira, has settled in her new life.Working each day, trying to give advice to travelers, and planning her next trip.
She has done a lot for many people, giving great advice, cheering them up when times were sad and it was fun to read about someone elses adventures in traveling.
She still travels and still writes, but as in all peoples lives, things come in cycles and this is a time that Francoise likes to keep to herself, and avoid unpleasantness.
Therefore, I doubt that our elvira will be coming around where there are surely many admirers but too many bitter people that dislike someone being admired.
C'est la vie~

Patrick: I brought up the Elvira-Loons-Houseboat-Venice post for others to read. It's titled "Ham tacos and the toilet isn't sucking mud" or "Text Search" loons & click-on "Italy". That trip-report leaves me in stitches
, they are really loony
. With no experience her and her loons just cast-off and sail away!!! It's one of the funniest trip reports I have ever read. Regards, Walter
Interesting how some of the posters are describing their own lives, almost reclusively, shying away from friends, people who have sought to give them some daily delights. They really aren't describing the authentic Elvira, but I suppose they feel it safer than posting in their own "name."

I'm sure Elvira is great, and she gives (apparently) good travel advice, but this groupie thing is odd. What would compel someone to start this thread? Hero worship? Idolitry (sp?)? Hey, if you "love" Elvira, great, but why do you feel compelled to affirm that to the world?
