---
Scott:

Just booked a room at the Hotel Galleria which is close to the Accademia & I'm told it has a view of the Canal. It's strictly a budget level accommadation, a 1 star hotel --- actually I'm expecting the room (a single) to be so small that I'll need to step outside to change my mind. But for only 100,000 lire, the price is right!
This place just has 10 rooms --- a few have bathrooms en suite, most of them don't. As the price may indicate I'll be one of those trekking down the hall.
However even the larger rooms are a good price at 150,000 & 160,000 (without bathroom) & 180,000 (w/bathrm). They also have 1 "family" room, a big twin bed rm w/bathrm at 220,000.

Since this is my first visit to Venice, I don't know what the place is like. But it is nicely situated by the Accademia bridge & vaporetto stop.
I'll be there Oct 24 - Oct 27.

E-mail = [email protected]
Tel: 041/5232489
Fax: 0415204172
