distance to Saint-Sulpice Paris

I am trying to estimate walking distance or time from Place Monge/Moufftard to Saint-Sulpice Cathedral. Am having a hard time and wondered if anyone could help. Thanks so much.

It's a mile and the estimated walking time is half an hour.

Here's a useful tool, among many:

Well that's google maps estimate. It obviously depends on how fast you walk and how often you stop to smell the roses along the way. It's about 2km...so it will take however long it takes you to walk that distance.

Well, 30 mins is the Michelin estimate. A fast walker could do it I would think in 15-20 but even walkers have to obey traffic signals.

It is about one mile; you can get a walking route from Google maps.. (St Sulpice is a church, NotreDame is the cathedral of Paris.)

katsony - do you know how to use google maps to do this?

access google maps.

put St Sulpice into the search box.

press "get directions"

put your starting point into the A box.

press the little man for walking times and directions.

you can also get suggestions for driving [rather not] or public transport.

And of course, Saint Sulpice is not a cathedral. There is only one per city, and its name is Notre Dame de Paris.

we visited St Sulpice on a very cold day, and enjoyed it a lot, especially the hot air heating which warmed us up nicely, along with the various indigents who were also sheltering there.

an excellent use of the building, IMO.
