dinner on the road to Rome

On our way back to Rome from Florence, we would like to make a dinner stop--not too far from Rome so that we don't arrive there after
10:30...I was thinking about Orvieto, but perhaps there's another spot even closer to
Rome.We will be driving...appreciate any suggestions. Maxine

Richard, thank you for your suggestions, but I was hoping for a restaurant in a town closer to Rome than Orvieto, and not too far off the autostrade. Any more ideas?
Maxine

Don't even consider stopping at a restaurant while your luggage is in the car. We loved Italy, but unfortunately luggage theft from locked rental cars is rampant. We met so many victims of this crime. If you must eat enroute, it is best to picnic by the car, then go to your night's stop and check in at your hotel before dining out.

I don't have restaurant names for you, but try searching websites or guide books for places around Bracciano. It's a lovely lake area, with a castle still owned by a real family, and we had several nice meals there at places I can no longer remember. It's just north of Rome.
