Dining in Florence Christmas Eve and Day

My family will be in Florence on Christmas Eve and Christmas day. I would like to make dining reservations for Christmas Day at least. I have not had much luck getting a response from the few restaurants I emailed. I would think there would be at least a few that would be open for tourists, especially in hotels. Many restaurants show availability on the dining booking sites but I am a bit wary. Any suggestions or ideas would be of great help. We are staying in an apartment. TY

Why are you wary of the dining booking sites? I should think that they would be more reliable than booking by phone or email with which you don't appear to be having much success. I would definitely make a couple of reservations that way then confirm by email or phone a couple of weeks before, jettisoning the one you don't want once you have your choice confirmed. Which restaurants/booking sites are you looking at?

Book some holiday reservations any way you can! It can be very difficult. In Rome, we were competing with Italian visitors to the city for those reservations. Since you are staying in a an apt you can always do take out and reheat it if you can’t can’t get reservations.
