Digital camera memory card offload in Europe
Is it easy enough to get a digital camera memory card downloaded onto a disc at photography shops in Western Europe, or should we take enough memory cards for our whole 5 week trip?

Recently returned from trip to Ireland/Scotland. Easy to get downloaded in 1-hour shops, however, I took a large memory card (held about 300-400 pics) for a 3 week trip and downloaded twice. Sometimes it's not convenient to get to a shop or wait the hour, and it's a shame to miss shots cuz your card is full...if was reallynice havinga large capacity. On-the-other-hand you can edit out bad shots as you go and extend the life of the card.
Have fun.

Does this apply for Greece? I recently (last weekend) bought a camera for my upcoming 2.5 week trip to Greece. I also got 2 512 MB cards (~400 photos each). I'm hoping it's enough but I'm very glad to hear there are options if I run out of space. By the way I'm a total shutterbug and love having multiple shots of a scene to choose from.

hi... you must not be saving your images at the maximum quality settings (I just got my 512mb card and it will hold 300 full-sized images at the 'best' quality; 3.2mg camera)...the more mgs your camera has, the fewer images the card can hold. I've got the 256mb for a spare (another 150 images); that's more pix than I usually take for 10 days..but 5 weeks! whew, that will be some album !
