I've been to both factories, and I prefer de Delftse Pauw.
Porceleyne Fles is a larger factory, they charge for their tour, and their pottery is more expensive.
De Delftse Pauw is a smaller factory, they have free tours, and their pottery was not as expensive, so I could afford to buy vases for all the women on my Christmas list (granted, they were small vases, but I had a lot of women to buy for).

Here's a thread about the Delftware mosaic in the bike tunnel in Delft. If you walk to Porceleyne Fles, you will walk through the tunnel. -

Enjoy your travels to Delft. Peace, Robyn

Thanks so much for your tips! I'll be sure to check out the tunnel. I've never heard of it before. We'll be staying in Delft for 4 nights, doing some day trips with a car, as my husband wants to drive the Market Garden Route. Then we'll head to Amsterdam for 5 more nights. I sure hope the tulip fields will be in full bloom the week of April 22!

Tulips will be blooming then.
On your route to Amsterdam be sure to drive the backroads around Lisse and Hillegom, you will be amidst the fields then.
And/or visit keukenhof.http://www.keukenhof.nl/nm/english.html
