My husband and I are going to France in early May and will be doing some day trips from Paris: Dijon (wine tours available in town); Reims (champaigne tours available in town), Fountainbleau, and Rouen.

I'll be posting a message about our trip when we return!

I took my wife and family on a day trip to Chartres. It was WONDERFUL. I think this was one of the best days we have ever had. There is an Englishman there who gives official tours. His name is Malcolm Miller. TAKE HIS TOUR if you are there. It is fascinating. It was so good that we actually took his morning tour, then hung around and took his afternoon tour. The town of Chartres is charming and we enjoyed a walk through and around the town. Enjoyed it so much we almost missed the last train back to Paris...read the schedule carefully!

Have a great trip.
