Day Trip to Paris Tomorrow, Need Help NOW
I'm in Brussels with my husband and another couple. Tomorrow the guys are working and we, the girls, are taking the train to Paris. I have loads of ideas but need a game plan. If you can help me in the next 10 minutes I would appreciate it. Also, reference to any threads you found helpful would be appreciated. Thank you.

Have you been to Paris? What do you like? Depending on the answers, consider: the Eiffel Tower, Louvre, Musee d'Orsay (modern/impressionist art), eat (almost anywhere really - you can try to get into a Michelin starred restaurant, or check guides), walk along the Champs Elysee and Place de Madeline for high end shopping, Montmarte, the Latin Quarter, the Marais, Bateau Mouche down the Seine . . . . Enjoy!

Catch the metro in the train station and get off at Notre Dame. There you can visit Notre Dame, eat at a cafe, cross the street and visit St. Chapelle and also the Concergerie. Take the metro back to the train station and head back to Brussels.

Have you ever visited Paris? It might help others put up a quickie schedule if they know what you have already seen in Paris.

Thanks for trying. Unfortunately I could not locate this thread before I went. Evidentally wasn't indexed too quickly.

Well, you won't believe what we did. Left Brussels at 7:40 a.m., arrived at Gare Nord, took No. 2 metero to Anvers, hit Sacre Cour, saw Lapin, windmills, got on metro at Pigalle, got off at Ch. de Gaulle Etoile, went to Arch de Triomphe, purchased one day museum pass, walked down Champs Elysees, got on metro at Champs Elysees Clemenceau, got off at Varenne, went to Invalides to see Napoleon, saw his stuffed horse and dog as well, walked to the Orsay, used museum pass, stayed about an hour, walked across the bridge to the Louve, at dinner at a cafe, walked to Notre Dame, Wednesday so open late, walked across the bridge to the Latin Quater, walked down that restaurant street to the Saint Germaine area, down Rue Buci, went in some shops, caught the metro at St. Germain des Pres to Gare Nord, caught the approximately 7:55 train back to Brussels.

I know, I know, it was too much but this was what my friend wanted to do and I thought I did a great job of getting us around on the metro without having to waste time changing trains. I would have caught out items and spent more time enjoying a few sites.

Thanks again.
