I saw a recommendation of this tour company on this board, and I was wondering if anyone took the day tours they offer? Where the tours too fast, or were they well done? Do they really cost only 20-30 euros for each tour?

Does anyone know of any other tour company that offers such day tours in Tours?

Anna, did you notice that the Tourevasion tours start in Tours and not in Paris? At least, this is what I read on their web page.
You'll need to get there by train first (TGV about one hour) at separate expenses.
So, prices for a half day seem appropriate.

If you can get advanced rates on the TGV, factor in at least $46/pers. for the trip. You can price it on sncf.fr when you are sure of your date of travel.

As for other tour companies, AccoDispo has been referenced a few times on this forum and on other travel boards with rave reviews. Similar with leaving out of tours & pricing seems similar, but some of the destinations vary. Good for comparison, at least. http://www.accodispo-tours.com/

We will be using them this January for a full day tour.

I've taken tours with both companies and recommend them highly. The driver is the guide, speaks English well, is very pleasant and tries his best to make the day as enjoyable as possible.

Thanks everyone for replying...yes, I had noticed that it leaves from Tours and not Paris.

Carol, are the escorted tours really only about 20-30 euros? Did the company give you lunch, and where did they go for lunch?
