Day Tip to Galway, Cliffs of Moher

My tour company has cancelled the last leg of my Ireland tour due to lack of interest. I will end up at Dromoland Castle as the other tour participants head to the Shannon airport.

I would like to arrange a trip (relateively inexpensive car driven by local resident) to Galway and Cliffs of Moher)for a day triip. Does anyone know how I could arrange this? Alternatively, can anyone advise if there are tours to these locations from nearby cities (ie Limerick) which I could join? Note, I do not drive so leasing a vehicle is not an option.

Would appreciate any ideas.

Dromoland Castle is a very expensive place to get 'left.' If it were me, I would go with the group to Shannon airport & continue on my own to Galway by BusEireann (near hourly service). From Galway you can daytrip to the Cliffs of Moher, Doolin, Lahinch, etc. There are numerous Tour Agencies near Eyre Sq., which is in front of the Galway Bus & Rail Station.

When you are ready, take BusEireann to Ennis the day before your flight back home & catch an early BusEireann (8:30 AM?) from Ennis to Shannon airport. On the BusEireann Sked it's 45min but it doesn't really take that long.

kizzybean: How long will you be in Ireland after the others leave?

kizzybean,

Have your hotel arrange a driver and car.

Alternatively, consider looking for some operators in the Shannon town area, such as :
